VIVA PAPER TOWELS aren't the paper towels they were even five years go. Kimberly-Clark has steadily degraded the quality substantially (but not the price, natch) over the last several years. These towels used to be so plush and soft, they felt like t-shirt material. The latest batch I purchased, which is noticeably different from the previous one, actually feels like sandpaper. Very fine sandpaper, but sandpaper nonetheless. Also, they used to be so strong. Now, I cannot tear one off the roll without ripping it up unless I use both hands, hold the roll, and tear very carefully.
The worst part? They've become virtually useless. I used to be able to use them to dry dishes. Now they just move the water around. They're barely absorbent.
I used to think VIVA PAPER TOWELS were THE premium paper towel on the market. Now, I honestly wouldn't buy them if they were the only paper towel available. They are that inferior. These are overall great - work well for most uses, can go in your compost bin after use if not used with chemicals, and are recycled. I agree with the reviewer who wishes they were scored like the Brawny towels. We started using this potty when our baby was about 9 months old. We aren't really pushing potty training, but letting him figure it out on his own. He started peeing in the potty the 2nd day we used it, and now does so regularly, though we have not had success with bowel movements yet. He seems comfortable on it, though he usually sits down and does his business and is done. Alot of times, the pee does hit the splash guard and spray around the potty, but this seems to happen with most potties- he is just not hold enough to aim. Our baby is 30 inches and about 25 pounds, and his legs are getting a bit long for this potty, so it is for the smaller child. I bought this because I didn't know if my 18-month-old daughter preferred the toilet seat attachment or to sit on the potty on the floor. This was great to try sitting on both. I don't think she decided yet which she likes best. We are slowly introducing it. The only thing I wish is it was a little smaller (it is a little too high off the ground for her since she little) and also I wish it didn't have the hump in the front for boys (she doesn't need it and it seems to get in the way of her sitting down).
