I am allergic to scented products and it is difficult to find any products with no scent. This whitens my showers and leaves them looking clean. I have been using this product for awhile and I think it does a satisfactory job. It cleans the dishes well and leaves no smell in my plastics, including my daughter's plastic plates and cups. I stopped using Cascade when I realized that you could actually taste the chemicals on the plastic. Cascade does do a better job cleaning. It should. It, like every other widely available commercial brand, is a very strong base (alkaline), very caustic. Their phosphates are detrimental to marine life. And now many contain bleach. More dioxins, please! The Seventh Generation version does not clean my silverware as well. If anything is stuck-on before washing it remains there (especially egg or almond butter). My solution to this is pretty easy and obvious. We just keep a bus tub in the sink with a small amount of water. Dirty utensils go there. Dishes get the same treatment if necessary. Sometimes (not often) there is a powdery white residue on the dishes which is easy to remove. Overall, I am pleased with this product and its shortcomings are not enough to make me switch back. I've been purchasing these diapers since my son was in Newborn sizes. These diapers are awesome. The only problem, that there is, is that you can't leave your child in them for too long after they've used the bathroom. You of course don't want to leave your child sitting in a diaper for a long time anyways, but if you were taking a car ride, lets say it's about 2 hours long, there is a possibility that the diaper may leak thru. So here's what i do about that, I buy a pack of pampers, and only use them when my son is going to take a nap, we're going on a car ride, or when he goes to bed, that way he doesn't soak thru them.
I do completely support and live a green life style. And 7th Generation rocks my world. I use their dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper. They are an awesome brand. The diapers work, they fit well on my son, he moves all over the place. He's 2 years old and I haven't had any problem with them, other than him leaking thru. But again, that's not really too big of a deal. I'm saving tons of money, since a box of pampers are about 40.99 a box now. And I'm doing something to reduce my footprint. Diapers are full of chlorine, and when that gets sent to our landfills, it causes so much harm and damage to the planet, because that chlorine absorbs into our planet and frankly is just not good for it. The Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent is ultra concentrated, tough on dirt and stains, non-toxic, biodegradable and hypo-allergenic. How often do you read all those items in one list?

This product less than works. Instead of wasting your time using this product, just don't do anything and you'll have the same results. I love all of the Seventh Generation paper and feminine products, but I don't understand how people think their cleaning products work. They don't. Far more superior are the Ecover products. I bought this product to do my part with the environmental craze. I like using it around my daughter, as it has no harsh fumes, and the scent is very nice. I like to clean the tub before giving her a bath in the bath/shower that her father and I use everyday. When I use this product frequently (like every-other day or so,) it does a fine job. But if I haven't cleaned the tub in over a week, it doesn't quite cut through the soap scum. I end up using the scrubbing bubbles, and having to have the vent on in the bathroom to get rid of the fumes before I dare to take my little girl in the room.

I've been replacing most of my household cleaning products with 7th generation brands. I have only had good experiences with them and this product is no different.
I've been using the kitchen cleaner now for several months. I've cleaned my worktops, tiles, fridge and chopping board with it. They all look clean as it removes grime and dirt but I was wondering how good the ingredients were at kiiling germs. I googled the chemicals and found that one of ingredients, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2)is a powerful environmentally friendly disinfectant and is stronger than chlorine.
The Hydrogen peroxide chemical oxidises micro-organisms and essentially burns them. It breaks down into water and oxygen and poses no environmental threat. Other big name cleaners cause chlorine gas and toxic chemicals to enter the environment.
I think that the 7th gen. company should promote this more on their bottles as I believe the bathroom and all purpose cleaners also contain the same ingredients.

This laundry detergent is the best I have found. It lacks the petroleum so often found in other detergents, therefore making the clothes smell better and feel better. You can really feel the difference when comparing the feel of this powder to other powders: the others leave your fingers feeling greasy. I have found that I do not need to use as much of this as with other products, and the price on Amazon is the best I have found yet - especially with the Super Saver Shipping! After finding that my son and I both were developing rashes to other types of laundry products (including so-called allergen-free), I switched to the scent-free version of this product which I learned about while working as a nanny years ago. My son wears cloth diapers and he has not had a rash since switching detergents. We use the citrus scent for our other clothes and have had no problems at all. WOW. I don't usually do reviews, but I just had to come and give my feedback about this product. I have tried Pampers Cruisers & Baby Dry, Huggies Supreme & the other version, and Luvs. Finally went to the doc & found out my son developed an allergy to disposables and they told me to use cloth. I was looking for something to use until my cloth diaper orders arrived and bought these last night.
Oh My Gosh! This morning he is almost cleared up! All the areas of the allergic reaction are faded if not completely gone and the peeling skin is healed/healing too. AFTER ONLY ONE NIGHT IN SEVENTH GENERATION! I am in total disbelief!
I'm still going to go ahead and give cloth a try, but it sure is nice to know I have a disposable option - and they're not even more expensive than Pampers or Huggies! I definately highly recommend these to anyone, especially if your baby has a sensitive heiney like mine. ;)

I love this stuff! It frequently goes on sale at a local natural foods coop. It actually gets out stuff that I thought were permanent stains, and I've even used it successfully on fabrics. Though it is marketed as a glass & surface cleaner, it can be used as a general cleaner. I also use white distilled vinegar per equal parts water along with a baking soda paste for effective, eco-friendly cleaning. But unlike vinegar, there is no accompanying, lingering smell.
