I use this product and am very pleased for general laundry cleaning. IF you have stained items I suggest using Charlie's spray cleaner as a pretreatment which also works great. When you first use this product it suggests running a small load as this product will clean out old soap deposits and will appear very sudsy. I have a LG front loading machine and this did not occur. I think it was because I've only used Seventh Generation and ECO laundry detergents which both are also coconut oil based and low suds. There is no fragrance once you retrieve laundry from the washer. By this I also mean if a pet had an urinary accident this soap eliminates the odor, even potent cat urine! Besides cleaning well, another nice outcome is NO fabric softener or dryer sheets are needed. As a real test I line dried a couple of bath towels. Usually they dry stiff and rough as if starch had been applied. Surprisingly they were very soft just as they are from the dryer. The beauty of this is your towels will absorb and dry you faster since fabric softener and dryer sheets coat the towel making it less absorbent. I also ordered their laundry powder but have not tried it yet. This product is very cost-effective, safe for the environment, and made in the USA by a family owned business. What more could you ask? I was hesitant to get a "green" tissue product. In years past, that label was synonymous with very thin and rough paper. But, the Scott product was a pleasant surprise. It is soft and feels the same as non-recycled products out there. And, Amazon's price was great for these long lasting rolls. I bought this thinking it would be close to my beloved Charmin PLUS (Aloe) that I have been buying for the last 10 years, but had been increasingly difficult to find here in the stores. So when I saw this, I bought it right away. I compared the ingredients on the package I had left here & it seemed to lack only petrolatum/petroleum? No problem, I gave it a try.
WRONG!!!!! This stuff leaves lots & lots of "friends" behind. I don't want to get too graphic but I had to make a special effort in the shower with my washcloth to make sure I wasn't going to get an infection from leftover "friends". What do I mean by this? It's not the fibers you get with Cottonelle since they changed their formula to the ridges years ago. It's like a giant spitball. SEVERAL giant spitballs. GROSS. I don't have that kinda time to be cleaning up after a product that is supposed to be cleaning ME!!!
In conclusion, Proctor & Gamble, I hope you're reading this. Please please PLEASE bring back my beloved Charmin PLUS with the little bear holding the lotion in the green label (you tricked us with the label, but the product now inside is not only inferior, it's ABHORRENT). WTF were you thinking?
